How we start.
The world has changed, the way we communicate is evolving since the first writing of language in Mesopotamia, the inventions of printing press, and the digital and internet revolution nowadays. Now, we don’t just communicate with simple spoken words and written messages, the internet enables us to communicate and interact in a globally-networked world.
We also realize that things like values and purposes, which barely visible and recognized, can become a tool to make a massive habitual changes. Color theory, information hierarchy, user experience design, well, you named it, are ones of countless concepts about communication in this always evolving world.
In November 2013, Bian Pratama — a young man with massive passion on creative thinking and idea sharing — began to explore his curiosity in creative problem solving. In search of a partner, he called Haris Pranoto to join him flourish the idea. They discussed and decided to start the company, and called it Local Tobacco. They gathered creative individuals and disruptive minds to join their liberation, and offered them a purpose for their ferocious ideas.
Local Tobacco — a company in which the culture of liberation, learning, and collaboration combined to a creative yet experimental atmosphere. Together they try to make use of digital world to make and share values and make world a better place.
